A lower body lift is a procedure designed to eliminate sagging in the abdomen, buttocks, groin, and thigh areas. For some, exercise and a healthy diet is not enough to achieve a well-toned body. Lower Body Lift Benefits
A lower body lift treats the abdomen, waist, hips, thighs, and buttocks in an all-in-one procedure. Procedures that can be included in a lower body lift are a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), liposuction, and a medial thigh lift. A tummy tuck removes the excess skin hanging over the abdomen and can repair stretched or torn abdominal muscles. Liposuction removes fat deposits, primarily in the waist and thigh areas. A medial thigh lift addresses sagging of the inner thigh using a circumferential incision around the entire body.
Lower body lift benefits are immediately obvious but it may take up to a year to experience the final result. Scars can be strategically hidden and results are maintainable assuming a consistently healthy weight.
About Lower Body Lifts
Where a liposuction is designed to remove fat deposits in places where the skin already has good elasticity, lower body lifts are intended to improve the elasticity of the skin and not designed strictly as a fat removal technique. Patients who need excess fat removed and improved skin elasticity may find a combination of liposuction and a lower body lift may be the best fit.
After the procedure, patients will be asked to wear a compression garment for five to 10 days to support the healing of the buttocks, abdomen, and thighs. Treating patients from Honolulu, Maui, Kona, Hilo, and across Hawaii, S. Larry Schlesinger, MD, FACS can give you a treatment plan to diagnose your specific needs.
